Senate: Speaker, Government Leader
House of Commons: Speaker, minister(s)

Speaker: "Tabling of documents."
Government Leader: [Stand to be recognized.]
Speaker: "Senator (surname)."
Government Leader: "Honourable Senators, I have the honour to table ... in both official languages."; [At the end of the presentation take the document and put it on the table in front of the Speaker, then take your seat.]

Speaker: "Tabling of documents."
Minister: [Stand to be recognized.]
Speaker: "The Honourable Minister of (name of Cabinet position)."
Minister: "Mr./Madam Speaker, I have the honour to table in both official languages a document entitled ..." [Take the document and place it on the table in front of the Speaker, then take your seat; or, hand it to the Clerk or to a parliamentary page to hand to the Clerk if there are persons in those roles.]; [The Speaker calls the ministers in the order that he or she sees them. If you are not chosen first, be seated until the current document has been tabled. Then stand again to be recognized by the Speaker.]
