Leader of the Government in the Senate
In the simulation, you will:
- table documents
- introduce a bill
- answer questions posed by Senators during Oral Questions, and/or
- explain the purpose of the bill when presented for second reading
As Leader of the Government in the Senate, your main role is to steer Government bills through the Senate. You introduce bills and answer questions on behalf of the Government.
You are the leader of all Government Senators, and you meet with them regularly to plan your legislative program in the Senate.
Your position automatically makes you a member of all Senate committees.
